Exotic Memory, the story I’ve been painting since 2017, came to me fully formed in a dream. In this alternate reality we meet Chloe, who has been experiencing strange phenomena in her sleep. We know them as dreams. But in Chloe’s world dreaming has been extinct for half a century, and in America at least, even claiming to have dreams is illegal.

This short film introduces you to our heroine while she is still discovering what is happening to her, on the run from big brother, hiding out in a creeky cabin in the woods, and coming to terms with what her gift really means, and the outlets available to transmute her pain into magic.
